Trump's Midas Touch Extends to Campaign Buttons Too!
July 13, 2015 - Billionaire Donald Trump has been successful at real estate, casinos, hotels, reality TV and clothing to name a few. To those list of accomplishments Trump can now add campaign buttons.
According to Chris Daniels of campaignbuttons-etc, Donald Trump for President 2016 campaign buttons have been selling at a rapid pace. Daniels said that while former Florida Governor Jeb Bush and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton sell their fair share of campaign buttons, since Trump announced in mid June that he was running for president , Trump 2016 campaign buttons are selling at a rate faster than any candidate so far.
The brisk sale of Trump for President campaign buttons , matches Trump's recent rise in national polling. Only a few weeks ago Trump was in 9th or worse place in some polls. A new poll out today shows Trump is second place at 13% just behind Bush at 15%. Trump and Bush are the only candidates in this poll at double digits.
With his solid poll numbers, Trump is assured of a place in the first Republican presidential debate scheduled for August in Cleveland.
Walker Enters Presidential Race
July 13 , 2015 - Its time for the plant to start making Scott Walker campaign buttons , as the Wisconsin Governor has officially entered the 2016 race for the White House.
Walker , 47, was won election as Governor of Wisconsin in 2010 and 2014. In 2012 , Walker successfully won a recall, becoming the only sitting Governor in United States history to win a recall election.
In 2011 , Walker came to national attention when he successfully won a fight to curtail the collective bargaining rights for most of the public employes in the state. That fight with the unions led to the recall effort which as mentioned Walker was able to beat back.
Currently Walker finds himself in the top tier of the Republican candidates running for the 2016 Republican nomination. An average of nation polls finds Walker in second place with 10.5% with former Florida Governor Jeb Bush in first place with 16.3%.
In the state of Iowa, which would hold the first voting on the road to the nomination, Walker has strong lead of 17.8% , followed by Bush and Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky tied for 9.8% each.
Following Walker's announcement , he will begin a campaign swing that will take him to Nevada , South Carolina and New Hampshire. He will end the trip with a three-day trek across Iowa.
Christie Launches Presidential Campaign
June 30, 2015 - Ending months of speculation New Jersey Governor Chris Christie officially launched his presidential campaign today at a rally held at Livingston High School in Livingston NJ where Christie was a student.
Speaking in his familiar town hall style format, Christie promised that he would "tell it like it is" which is also his campaign slogan.
Once a rising Republican star, Christie has scene his popularity decline since the George Washington Bridge Scandal came front and center in January of 2014. Following the rally , Christie traveled to New Hampshire where he will campaign through the July 4th weekend.
Christie has his work cut out for him as he currently finds himself in ninth place in an average of national polls with a rating of 4%.
Bush Has Lead In Latest 2016 Poll
June 22, 2015 - After officially announcing last week that he was a presidential candidate, former Florida Governor Jeb Bush is leading his fellow Republicans in the 2016 race for the GOP nomination. Bush has the support of 22% of those polled followed by Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker with 17%.
In third place is Bush's fellow Floridian Senator Marco Rubio with 14%. This poll is consistent with other polls that show at the moment the race for the Republican nomination is between Bush, Walker and Rubio. However since their level of support is not overwhelming it is encouraging the roughly dozen other Republicans in the race that the nomination is very much up for grabs.
In fourth place is Dr. Ben Carson with 11% followed in fifth place by former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee with 9%. Huckabee is no stranger to presidential politics as he ran in 2008 and won the Iowa caucuses.
In sixth place is Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky with 7% followed by former Governor Rick Perry with 5%. Tied for eight place are Senator Ted Cruz of Texas and New Jersey Governor Chris Christie with 4% each.
Only ten participants will be invited to the first GOP presidential debate to be held in August in Cleveland. In this all important tenth place if former CEO Carly Fiorina who right now has a real shot to be included in the first presidential debate should she be able to hold onto the tenth spot. Fiorina is currently at 2%.
The next six candidates in the poll are those that are facing the very real possibility that they may not be included in that first debate. In a three way tie for eleventh place with 1% each are real estate entrepreneur Donald Trump, Senator Lindsay Graham of South Caroline and Ohio Governor John Kasich.
Rounding out the bottom of the poll and scoring zero percent of support are Louisianan Governor Bobby Jindal, former Senator Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania and former New York Governor George Pataki.
Trump Enters 2016 Republican Race For The White House
June 16, 2015 - Declaring that " I will be the greatest job president God ever created," real estate entrepreneur Donald Trump officially entered the race for the White House during a speech that he gave in New York.
Trump, 69, had suggested for years for that he would run for president. This will be Trump's first run for elective office. National polls currently have Trump in 9th place with 3.6% of the vote which would qualify him for the first Republican presidential debate to be held in August.
