Trump Enters 2016 Republican Race For The White House
June 16, 2015 - Declaring that " I will be the greatest job president God ever created," real estate entrepreneur Donald Trump officially entered the race for the White House during a speech that he gave in New York.
Trump, 69, had suggested for years for that he would run for president. This will be Trump's first run for elective office. National polls currently have Trump in 9th place with 3.6% of the vote which would qualify him for the first Republican presidential debate to be held in August.
