Inaugural Committee Inauguration Of President And Vice President Johnson Humphrey 1789 - 1965 45th Inaugural Lyndon B. Johnson Hubert H. Humphrey January 20th 1965. From the 1949 Inauguration of Harry Truman to the second Inauguration of Richard Nixon in 1973 , the Presidential Inaugural Committee issued a series pin backs with attached ribbons to staff and workers that indicated designated areas of assignment of the wearer. Ribbons with pins were issued for such tasks as Usher , First Aid , Honor Guard etc. This ribbon shown here with medal was from the 1965 Inauguration of President Lyndon B. Johnson , for an actual member of Presidential Inaugural Committee. The ribbon is red , white and blue in color with gold colored lettering and measures six inches in length by one and three quarter inches wide. Attached to the ribbon is an embossed medal that features the Inaugural Seal with a eagle holding a banner. On the left side of the banner is the name of the President , Johnson , and on the right side of the banner is the name of the Vice President , Humphrey
