Trump Surges To Undisputed Leader In New Hampshire as Debate Cutoff Looms
July 28, 2015 - If your walking around New Hampshire today be sure to wear your Donald Trump campaign button as he has vaulted into a double digit lead over his nearest rival in the granite state.
In the latest poll out on the state of the upcoming 2016 New Hampshire Republican primary, Trump has the support of 24% while his closest rival former Florida Governor Jeb Bush has the support of 12%. Trump and Bush are the only two of the 16 Republicans running for president that are polling in double digits in New Hampshire.
Tied at 7% each are Ohio Governor John Kasich and Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker. This is actually good news for Kasich as he has only officially been in the White House contest for a couple of weeks.
In fifth place is Senator Marco Rubio of Florida with 6%. Tied at 5% each is Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky and Dr. Ben Carson.
In 8th place at 4% is New Jersey Governor Chris Christie. Tied at 3% each is Senator Ted Cruz of Kentucky and former CEO Carly Fiorina. For Fiorina that's an improvement over previous polls either for individual states or nationally as at least as New Hampshire goes she finds herself in the top 10.
Tied at 2% each are former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee, Louisianan Governor Bobby Jindal and former New York Governor George Pataki. Finishing out the bottom of the poll are former Senator Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania and former Texas Governor Rick Perry each at 1%.
As the date for the all important first Republican presidential debate to be held on August 6 in Cleveland Ohio edges ever closer , right now based on an average of polls here is how the top 10 might look:
