Hillary Continues To Have Large Lead In Latest Poll
July 20, 2015 - On this the 46th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing , former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton continues to have out of this world poll numbers as she leads her four Democratic challengers with 68% of those polled. This is an upward trend for Clinton as the same poll had her at 62% in May of this year.
Clinton's closest challenger is Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont with 16%. Sanders who has been drawing large crowds on the campaign trail also is an upward trend as the same poll also in May had him at 10%.
Former Senator Jim Webb of Virginia finds himself in third place with 5%. In fourth place is former Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley with 2% followed by former Rhode Island Governor Lincoln Chafee with 1%.
The poll continues a good stretch for Clinton as her Republican counterparts have not had time to critic her as they have been focused on the surging GOP presidential hopeful Donald Trump.
While the poll did not measure the strength of Vice President Joe Biden in a potential race for the Democratic nomination, there have been reports circulating that Biden will make a decision in September as to whether he will make a third quest for the White House.
