Latest Polls Show Cruz Leading in Iowa and Trump in New Hampshire
January 9, 2016 - With the first votes of the 2016 presidential primary season set to be cast in just a few weeks , Senator Ted Cruz of Texas leads in Iowa while New York Businessman Donald Trump is ahead in New Hampshire.
In Iowa, Cruz has the support of 27% followed by Trump at 23% and Senator Marco Rubio of Florida at 15%. They are followed by Dr. Ben Carson at 9% , former Florida Governor Jeb Bush at 7% and Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky at 5%.
The rest of the field is New Jersey Governor Chris Christie at 4%, former Arkansas Governor Mike Huckabee at 2% and all tied up at 1% each are former CEO Carly Fiorina , Ohio Governor John Kasich and former Senator Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania.
In New Hampshire the undisputed front runner is Trump at 33% followed by Rubio at 15% and Cruz at 12%. Bush has the support of 9% followed by Kasich at 7%. Tied at 5% each are Christie and Paul. Next up is Carson who has the backing of 4% of those polled followed by Fiorina at 3%.
