February 25 , 2024 - Former President Donald Trump defeated former United Nations Ambassador Nikki Haley in the South Carolina Republican Presidential Primary by a margin of 59.8% to 39.5%. From 2011 to 2017 Haley served as Governor of South Carolina.

At her election night headquarters Haley stated , "I said earlier this week that no matter what happens, I would continue to run for President. I'm a woman of my word." Trump at his election night headquarters in Columbia , South Carolina said "there never been a spirt like this."
