Christie Appears on Sunday Morning Talk Shows
November 10, 2013 - New Jersey Governor Chris Christie appeared on four Sunday morning talk shows today in the wake of his landslide re-election victory this past Tuesday. Christie said the key to his victory was his willingness to go to areas that normally do not vote for Republicans. In particular , he mentioned his visit to Irvington , New Jersey where four years ago he received only 4.7% of the vote. Governor Christie said that "the lesson is to show up. You can't just show up to groups that don't usually vote for you six months before an election. You go there, you listen, you present your views, and that's how you build it."
Christie deflected criticism that has come his way since his re-election that he is not a conservative but a moderate. "I don't get into these labels," the Governor said. "That's the Washington D.C. game, and what all those men and women down there play. Judge me by my record. That I'm very , very comfortable with."
