Warren Leads In Early Battleground States
October 14, 2019 - On the eve of the fourth Democratic presidential debate Senator Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts leads the field in polling in the initial 18 states that will vote in 2020. Warren has the support of 31% followed by former Vice President Joe Biden with 25%.
In 3rd place is Senator Bernie Sanders of Vermont with 17%. In fourth place is Senator Kamala Harris with 7% followed by South Bend Indiana Mayor Pete Buttigieg with 5% and former Texas Congressman Beto O'Rourke with 4%.
If these polls numbers were to remain the same into next years primaries and caucuses they would result in Warren scoring 720 delegates followed by Biden with 577 delegates and Sanders with 159 delegates. Rounding out the field would be O'Rourke with 30 delegates , Senator Amy Klobuchar of Minnesota with 5 delegates and Buttigieg with 3 delegates.
These battleground poll numbers and possible delegates counts are based on the states of Iowa, New Hampshire , Nevada , South Carolina , Alabama , Arkansas , California , Colorado , Maine , Massachusetts , Minnesota , North Carolina , Oklahoma , Tennessee , Texas , Vermont , Utah and Virginia.
