Boy Scout Service 1789 - 1965 45th Inaugural Inauguration Of President And Vice President Johnson Humphrey Lyndon B. Johnson Hubert H. Humphrey January 20th 1965. From the 1949 Inauguration of Harry Truman to the second Inauguration of Richard Nixon in 1973 , the Presidential Inaugural Committee issued a pinback with attached ribbon to staff and workers that indicated designated areas of assignment of the wearer. Ribbons with pins were issued for such tasks as Usher , First Aid , Honor Guard etc. This ribbon shown here from the 1965 Inauguration of President Lyndon Johnson , was for the Boy Scout Service. The ribbon is red in color with gold colored lettering and measures four and a half inches in length by one and a half inches wide. The ribbon features the Inaugural Seal with a eagle holding a banner. On the left side of the banner is the name of the President , Johnson and on the right side of the banner is the name of the Vice President , Humphrey
